Gregg is a founding partner and principal engineer of Mendenhall Smith Structural Engineers. He is a registered professional or structural engineer in most of the western and mid-western United States and is responsible for the overall management and operations of the firm.
He is a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers) and past President and founding member of SEASoN (Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada).
Mr. Mendenhall is active and nationally recognized as a contributing member of the NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) Structural I and Structural II exams, a volunteer position he has held for almost 10 years. |

Fraser is a founding partner of Mendenhall Smith structural engineers. He maintains structural engineering licenses in Nevada, Arizona and Colorado and is active in the engineering and construction communities. He is a professional member of PTI (the Post-Tension Institute), ACI (the American Concrete Institute), SEASoN (Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada), ICBO (International Conference of Building Officials).
In addition to these memberships, Mr. Smith has served on technical committees including the PTI Slab-on-Ground committee (writing the new edition of “Design and Construction of Post-Tensioned Slabs on Ground”) and the ACEC committee consulting with the City of North Las Vegas regarding ordinances for post-tensioned foundation design.
He has been the engineer-of-record of thousands of projects including the iconic 1,149-foot stratosphere tower on the Las Vegas strip. This experience has given Mr. Smith and the firm many opportunities to provide consulting services for similar towers in the United States and internationally.

Phil joined Mendenhall Smith one year after its inception and has been a Structural Design Engineer with the firm since 1992. He was named Principal in 2001. His involvement includes all facets of structural engineering and management including commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential structures. His recent projects include the structural design of public schools, fire and police facilities, automobile dealerships, office structures, and retail space.
Phil is a member of the FEMA urban search and rescue team as a Structural Specialist. His responsibilities include deployment to regions that have experienced natural disasters, where structural knowledge is required in life rescue.
Phil is a licensed engineer in Nevada and Texas, and is a member of SEASoN (the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada). He is a graduate from Brigham Young University. |

Kirsten has been designing structures in Las Vegas since 1992. She joined Mendenhall Smith in 1999 and was named principal in 2001. In addition to her design and engineering responsibilities, she is responsible for managing and training new employees.
Kirsten has designed structures constructed of steel, masonry, concrete and wood and has been involved in commercial, municipal and residential projects. Her recent projects include the McCarren International Airport consolidated car rental facility, car dealerships, education facilities and recreation centers in Las Vegas and the surrounding communities.
Kirsten maintains structural engineering licenses in Nevada and California. She is an alumnus of California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. |

Mr. Allgaier joined Mendenhall Smith in January 2001 as a project manager and engineer. He has over 10 years of structural engineering and architectural experience and holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in civil and structural engineering from Brigham Young University and North Carolina State University, respectively. He also earned a Master of Architecture degree from N.C. State and is a licensed architect in several states.
Jonathan is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland, Virginia, California and Nevada. In addition to his engineering and management responsibilities at the firm, he maintains an active role in firm-wide business development and recruiting.
In 2004, after almost a year of research and examination, Mendenhall Smith decided to open a second East coast office; this time in Washington, DC. Jonathan, a Washington native, was named principal and operations manager.
In addition to his professional design experience, Jonathan has served as assistant professor of architecture and guest design critic and/or lecturer UNLV, North Carolina State University, Brigham Young University and Duke University. |

John has over forty-three years of structural engineering experience and has been a vital member of the firm almost since its establishment. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in civil and structural engineering from Catholic University in Washington, DC.
Mr. Simko’s vast experience in mid- and high-rise design has been an asset to Mendenhall Smith and our clients. He has designed over 2,500 structures across the United States as well as in Australia, Lebanon, San Salvador and Ireland. He holds professional engineering registration in 26 states.
In 2002, Mendenhall Smith opened its first office on the East coast with operations based in Daytona Beach, Florida. John was named principal and operations manager for that office and has been influential to the growth of the firm and the quality of design in that region.
In addition to his professional design experience, John has taught and guest lectured at several major universities and is the author of the technical publication “Winds of Change”, detailing lateral load implementation for residential structures. |

Mr. Mildenhall joined Mendenhall Smith in 1994 and was named principal and operations manager of the Sacramento office in 2001. Rob has over ten years of structural design experience and has been instrumental in expanding the California market. He holds a bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo.
Rob has provided keen consultation on a wide variety of structural design projects. He excels in working closely with architects and designers to provide economical construction without compromising a building’s visual impact or function. Some of his completed projects include the Alexis Park Conventions space, Nevada Dance Theater in Summerlin (Las Vegas) and the Montelago Golf Clubhouse and Reception Center. |
